The Victoria Orchid Society meets on the fourth Tuesday of the each month from September to June.
Meetings start at 7:30pm and end by 10:00pm.
Our monthly meetings include plant sales, discussion of the societies business on orchid matters such as shows, monthly show table of member's orchids and an orchid prize draw. Educational subjects on orchid species, potting, propagation, hybridization, pest and disease control and many other topics are discussed.

Non-members are welcome to attend a meeting to find out more about us.

Members’ Sales: Any member in good standing is allowed to sell their orchid plants at the general sales table during a meeting. There are volunteers to look after this – all you need to do is bring your clean, healthy plants with their nametags and a second label with the price you want to charge. The society will deduct 15% off your sales price as a commission. You need to have a sellers’ number if you plan to sell regularly. If you only want to sell a plant or two occasionally, put the number A 100 plus your name on the price tag, with the $ amount (no pennies please). If your plants don't sell at the meeting, take them home again. You will receive a cheque for any plant that was sold.

It is welcomed if, once in a while, sellers can donate a flowering plant to the prize draw table, but please, under all circumstances, whether you are selling plants or donating them, make sure they are clean and healthy.

We invite many interesting guest speakers from all over the world, and who give fascinating video presentations and slide shows. When possible, the guest's bio will be presented here.
